Modern technology helps geographers because it can make things easier to do. For example, things like a GPS can help geographers locate places easier, or a computer with things like google earth and on the internet. Because of the latest technology, Geography has become what it is today.

ReplyDeleteModern technology can help geographers because things like a GPS can help geographers spot out were they want to research easier than they can with a map. The tools that I have now that they didn't have 25 years ago would be a compute which can give you google earth. We have twice as more technology as they did 25 years ago.
ReplyDeleteModern technology helps geographers because it allows them to find exact locations and create maps. It helps them gather and store information easily. We have the internet, online maps and GPS's. Eratosthenes saw the angle of a shadow from a stake in one place and the fact that there was no shadow from a stake in another place at the same time of the day.

ReplyDeleteModern technology that some geographers have are GIS, which stores data of the earth in a digital data base. Also GPS, is anther one it is a global positioning system. Tools that people did not have 25 years or longer ago were GPS, GIS, internet, computers. Last Eratosthenes use stakes that they placed in different places were one had a shadow but the other stake didn't have a shadow so he concluded that the earth was round.

Some tools we have now that we didn't have earlier on are, a GPS to help us locate, Internet to help us look up things, GIS to help us store information.
