I think the Yankees are the best franchise in baseball because.

-They won the world championship 5 years in a row (1949, 1950, 1951,1952, 1953).
-They have 34 players in the hall of fame and 9 coachs in the hall of fame.
-They have the most wins in the American league with 9,485 which is second in all of baseball.
-They had the considered best team ever in 1927 when they won 110 games 6th best all time, they have considered the best player ever on that team Babe Ruth and a line up considered the best ever called murderers row.
- The Yankees also had 3 grand slams in 2011.
I think we should be able to chew gum in school:

ReplyDelete1.) The ingredients in the cigeretts get in the kids body and that has the same affect as if the kid is smoking.
2.) These are the top three worst ingredients: Methoprine which is used to kill fleas on our pets, Arsenic which is a deadly poison which makes your breath smell bad, and
Formaldehyde which is used to embalm dead bodies.
3.) At school the kids will smell really bad like smoke, and will put stress on them because of the smell on them.
This is a good thing to feel strongly about and I also feel strongly about it too.

ReplyDelete1. Parents do not get to hog the TV because of their seniority. We should watch something everyone likes.
2. Some parents don't understand what kids like to watch and why they like it. If parents get to watch what they want i think kids should be able to watch what we want. If our friends watch the same show then we should watch what they watch.
3. By watching reality shows we get to learn about the world and what's happening with other people. And we get to watch what we should not do. Very educational.
I really like Emily's thoughts. I agree with you in some regards but maybe you could add on that parents should let there 7th grade child go to bed past 8:00!! I feel that I am old enough to stay up to at least 9.

I think that Alexander Ovechkin (Alexander The Great) is the best hockey player to ever live.

I think that we should start school at 10:00am instead of 8:00am because then people would be able to have a better breakfast, they would focus better at school because when people wake up very early, students aren't very focused because we are very tired and aren't paying attention as much as we could be if we got more sleep. We would also do a better job in school and try harder. This would make middle school students and high school students more healthy because we would have more time to do homework because we wouldn't need to go to bed so early and we would be getting more sleep which is one of the most important things the body needs.

I feel strongly that the MLB should have a salary cap. In the current situation, the richer the owner, the better your team is. However, if the Major Leagues adopted a salary cap system like in the NFL, every team would have the equal opportunity to grow as a team and sign good players. As of now, the New York Mets just lost Jose Reyes, and the best acquisition they have made all offseason is Andres Torres. Us Mets fans can thank Bernie Madoff for that. In Queens we are falling off the face of the Earth while over in the Bronx the Yankees just signed Hiroki Kuroda, Michal Pineda, and Russel Branyan. So why can there not be a cap put on spending so everyone has a fair shot?

1) We come to school ready to learn and we sit in classes all day, and then we get home and we want to play, but we cant because we have to much homeowrk and by the time we are done with it, it is time for bed.
2) We get really tired at the end of the day which means our homeowork isnt our best work.
3) We need to relax and be able to calm down, but when we have homeowrk we get stressed.
BONUS: 4) When we have a sport after school it is hard to have fun in your game because all you are thinking about is when or how are you going to get your homework done, and then you have no fun.

ReplyDeleteNumber 1 is a run-on. It should be broken into three sentences. See if you can fix it. Also, you are forgetting a lot of commas (intro prep phrases, intro clauses, and before the "which" clause in #2. Also, apostrophes in contractions (isnt = isn't).
